Macroeconomics holds a very high importance because it provides a comprehensive understanding of how economies function on a large scale, shaping everything from national policies to global markets.
Unfortunately, many Muslims have avoided studying economics like it is a plague. The main concerns is around concepts like the topic of people operating out of self-interest, fiat money, and exploitative interest. However, realism requires that these topics be understood thoroughly to determine how Muslims can not only participate in but also positively shape the system. Without an awareness of macroeconomic concepts, one cannot explain, diagnose, or hope to solve the current economic issues.
